Abstract
This thesis intends to motivated by the covid-19 viruses that threatens the future of the nation, PSBB/PPKM policies that have a negative impact on the west java economy, tradional markets the highest percentage of places there are no health protocols, the implementation of health protocols maintaining the lowest percentage of distances used in tradional markets and to find out “Strategy of Sub-district Head in Handling Corona Virus Disease in 2019 (Covid-19) throught Physical Distancing in Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province”. The purpose of thesis is to determine the strategy of the sub-district head in handling Covid-19 throught physical distancing, supporting and inhibiting factors.The research method that is used by the author is descriptive qualitative research method with an inductive approach. The methods of data collection are observation; interview; and documentation. The author analyzes the data using data reduction techniques, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The author used Geoff Mulgan’s theory (2009:5) about the concept of government strategy.The result of this study concluded that in general the strategy of the sub-district head in handling Covid-19 through Physical Distancing has been carried out and is running quite well. However, it has not reached its target in restraining the spread of the virus and the increase in the positive number of Covid-19 in Cileunyi District. It was found that the increase in cases in the last 3 months was known to come from the Family Cluster, and Physical Distancing was not enough to overcome it.
