Abstract
Problem/Background (GAP): The author focuses on the role of the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the context of developing tourist destinations at the Bengkulu City Tourism Office, considering the lack of ability and quality of ASN in managing tourist destinations in Bengkulu City. Purpose: To know and analyze the role of the State Civil Apparatus of the Tourism Office in the development of tourist destinations in Bengkulu City, Bengkulu Province. Methods: The research method used is descriptive qualitative research with an inductive approach. The data collection technique used in this research is the technique of Observation, Interview, and Documentation. Results: The role of the State Civil Apparatus in the development of tourist destinations at the Bengkulu City Tourism Office has been going quite well because it has played a role as a leader, designer, maker policies, and communicators, but not optimal in management because there are still many obstacles experienced in the process of developing tourist destinations in Bengkulu City. Conclusion: The role of the State Civil Apparatus in developing tourist destinations at the Bengkulu City Tourism Office has been going quite well because it has played a role as a leader, designer, policy maker, and communicator, but has not been maximized in management because there are still many obstacles experienced in the destination development process. tourism in Bengkulu City.
