Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author focuses on the problem of ambiguity of information circulating in society and the rapid dissemination of information that has not been proven to be true. Purpose: This study aims to determine the success of organizing information dissemination in the Department of Communication, Information and Statistics of Lampung Province. Methods: This study uses qualitative research through interview, observation and documentation techniques using Karl Weicks’s organizational information theory, then analysed by descriptive analysis techniques consisting of data reduction, presentation, conclusions and data verification. Result: The results show that the focus of the research has been running effectively. It is evident from the determination of information that has been successfully carried out, well-organized selection of information, and optimal retention in dissemination. Conclusion: Organizing information dissemination through the website is effective in realizing public information disclosure in Lampung Province, this is because the determination of information in dissemination is effective in unraveling ambiguity for the equitable distribution of quality public information. Selection of information in organizing dissemination by providing quality information so that taboo and unproven information can be monitored and supervised by paying attention to information criteria. Retention in information by evaluating the dissemination that has been carried out which shows public satisfaction with information services.
