Abstract

Problem statement/Background (GAP): Research In an effort to improve the safety and comfort of the people in the city of Palembang. The Regional Government through the Palembang City Fire and Disaster Management Service created a program, namely the placement of firefighter posts. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the Placement Program for Firefighters Posts in Overcoming Fire Disasters in Palembang City, supporting factors, obstacles and efforts to overcome obstacles. Method: The method used by the researcher is descriptive qualitative research with an inductive approach. Data obtained by interview, observation, and documentation techniques. Results/findings: The results of this study indicate the effectiveness of the Placement Program for Firefighters Posts in the city of Palembang. The implementation of employee duties has been going well, it's just that there are several inhibiting factors. Conclusion: through Duncan's theory of steer which is divided into indicators, namely Goal Achievement, Integration and Adaptation. The author concludes that the effectiveness of the program for placing firefighters in tackling fire disasters is seen as having worked well with existing indicators.
