Abstract
ABSTRACT Therefore this study aims to find out how the performance of the Social Service and Community Empowerment in providing guidance to street children and what are the obstacles and efforts to overcome them. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach. Data and information are collected using interview, observation, and document techniques. Then the technique of analyzing the data used in this study is done by means of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the research data, it can be concluded that the performance of the Social Service and Community Empowerment in providing guidance to street children has been assessed quite well. The researcher gave suggestions, including the need for an increase in the number of apparatus, increasing the budget, improving the quality of the apparatus, making regular schedules of outreach activities and improving facilities and infrastructure to support the performance of the apparatus. Keywords: Performance, Social Service and Community Empowerment, Street Child ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kinerja Dinas sosial Kota Batam dalam memberikan pembinaan kepada anak jalanan serta apa saja hambatan dan upaya untuk mengatasinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif. Data dan informasi dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan dokumen. Teknik menganalisa data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan cara reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kinerja Dinas sosial Kota Batam dalam memberikan pembinaan kepada anak jalanan sudah diniliai cukup baik. Peneliti memberikan saran antara lain perlu adanya penambahan jumlah aparatur, penambahan anggaran, peningkatan kualitas aparatur, membuat jadwal rutin kegiatan penjangkauan serta pembenahan sarana dan prasarana untuk menunjang pencapaian kinerja aparatur.
