Abstract

ABSTRACT THE EFFECT OF EDUCATIONAL LEVELS ON PERFORMANCE OF COUNTRY CIVIL APPARATUS IN REGIONAL CIVIL SERVICE AGENCY PADANG LAWAS UTARA DISTRICT NORTH SUMATERA PROVINCE Supervisior I : Dr. Bambang Supriyadi, BE, M.Si Supervisior II : Dr. Drs. Udaya Madjid, M.Pd By : Benni Kurniawan This research was conducted with the aim of describing how the relationship between education to the performance of the State Civil Apparatus and knowing how much influence education has on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus at the Regional Civil Service Agency of North Padang Lawas Regency, North Sumatra Province. The units analyzed in this study are individual employees at the Regional Civil Service Agency of North Padang Lawas Regency, using total sampling techniques, the sample in this study is in accordance with the population, which is 27 respondents. The research method used is descriptive statistical analysis to describe the results of questionnaire data processing for each indicator of the variable under study. In addition, quantitative data analysis techniques are also used, namely correlation analysis to see the relationship between education and employee performance and simple linear regression analysis to see the influence between educational variables and the performance of the State Civil Apparatus. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence of education on the performance of the State Civil Apparatus. The influence of education on employee performance is 42.8% and the remaining 57.2% illustrates the existence of other independent variables not explained in this study, for example motivation and work environment. In addition, Kruskall Wallis test was also conducted to determine differences in employee performance between levels of education. The results show that the performance of employees with S1 / S2 level education is better than the performance of employees with high school education/Diploma. Keywords: Education and Performance
