Abstract

ABSTRACT The title of Research Final Report is “Community Empowerment around the Tourism Object 17 of Riung Island in the district of Riung by the Department of Tourism and Culture of Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province”. The purpose of the research in this final report is to analyze empowerment around the Tourism Object 17 of Riung Island in the district of Riung, and also to know the supported factors and resistor of community empowerment around the Tourism Object 17 of Riung Island, and efforts made by the Department of Tourism and Culture, Ngada Regency in empowering people around the Tourism Object 17 of Riung Island. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection technique through interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate coaching in the form of skills trained for community around the Tourism Object 17 of Riung Island which also involved the private sector, the trained carried out has not been effective because the intensity is still lacked or time of skills trained carried out by the Department of Tourism and Culture to the society around the Tourism Object 17 of Riung Island with all the tourism businesses owned. Advice from the author for the Department of Tourism and Culture of Ngada regency is necessary to coaching tourism skills continuously so that the capacity of the surrounding community can be fulfilled, and coordination with various parties in an effort to empower the community around the Tourism Object 17 of Riung Island. Keywords: Empowerment, skills improvement, good quality of tourism business ABSTRAK Penelitian Laporan Akhir dengan judul “ Pemberdayaan Masyarakat sekitar Objek Wisata 17 Pulau Riung di Kecamatan Riung oleh Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Ngada Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Tujuan penelitian pada laporan akhir ini untuk menganalisis pemberdayaan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat sekitar Objek Wisata 17 Pulau Riung di Kecamatan Riung, dan juga untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat pemberdayaan masyarakat sekitar Objek Wisata 17 Pulau Riung, serta upaya yang dilakukan Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Ngada dalam memberdayakan masyarakat sekitar Objek Wisata 17 Pulau Riung. Metode yang digunakan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan memang terdapat pembinaan berupa pelatihan keterampilan kepada masyarakat di sekitar objek wisata 17 Pulau Riung yang juga melibatkan pihak swasta, namun pelatihan yang dilakukan belum efektif, karena masih kurangnya intensitas atau waktu pelatihan keterampilan yang dilakukan oleh Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan terhadap masyarakat sekitar objek wisata 17 Pulau Riung dengan segala usaha wisata yang dimiliki. Saran dari penulis untuk Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Kabupaten Ngada perlu diadakanya pembinaan keterampilan wisata secara berkesinambungan agar kemampuan sumber daya masyarakat sekitar terpenuhi dengan baik, serta koordinasi dengan berbagai pihak dalam upaya pemberdayaan masyarakat di sekitar Objek Wisata 17 Pulau Riung Kata kunci : Pemberdayaan, peningkatan keterampilan, mutu usaha wisata baik
