Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Poverty in Kolaka Regency is a complex problem, characterized by fluctuations in the poverty rate and the high rate of extreme poverty, even though the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Kolaka Regency is the highest in Southeast Sulawesi Province, which attracts the attention of researchers to find out how poverty reduction efforts are carried out by the Social Service of Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Purpose: This study aims to determine the regional poverty reduction by the Social Service of Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Method: This research uses a Descriptive Qualitative approach with an inductive method. This approach was chosen because the qualitative model provides full flexibility for researchers to change the direction of research in the middle of activities in order to achieve the main objectives of the research. Data collection techniques include field observations, document studies, and interviews as well as data triangulation. The main theory used to analyze this topic is the Poverty Reduction Theory by Ubur in 2011. There were 10 informants involved in this research. Data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation and also conclusion drawing and verification. The instrument of this research is the author himself. Result: The results of the research findings related to poverty reduction in Kolak Regency are analyzed through several dimensions with the results, in the implementation sequence dimension it is known that it has been carried out systematically, in the design dimension there are already several programs in the form of innovations to solve poverty problems, in the dimensions of Time, Space, Expertise and Resources, each of these aspects has clarity, but the resource factor is still not optimal, in the effectiveness dimension several programs have been able to run effectively and produce. Conclusion: In general, the level of regional poverty reduction by Kabupaten Kolaka of Southeast Sulawesi Province has been carried out quite well, as evidenced by the positive trend in the analysis of each dimension.
