Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): (Berisi background yang melatarbelakangi penelitian). The author focuses on resolving the prolonged conflict that occurred between the Hitu State and the Wakal State which arose due to the disputes that occurred between the two and the lack of awareness to maintain peace in society. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to determine the role of the Regional Government in Handling the Conflict between the Hitu State and the Wakal State. Wakal in Central Maluku Regency, Maluku Province as well as challenges or obstacles and efforts made by the Regional Government in the Conflict between Hitu Country and Wakal Country.. Method: This research uses a qualitative descriptive method that uses conflict resolution theory from Nordhe Schulte. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, in-depth interviews (9 informants), and documentation.. Result: The findings obtained by the author in this research are that the government has made efforts to resolve the conflict between Hitu and Wakal countries quickly, but the public tends not to want to help the government in resolving the conflict that has occurred Conclusion: The government's role in handling the conflict between Hitu and Wakal countries has been This is done optimally, this is proven by the government holding meetings with both communities to listen to the wishes or aspirations of both, but because the community does not actively participate in helping resolve problems, the conflict is not resolved optimally. Penulis berfokus pada penyelesaian konflik berkepanjangan yang terjadi antara negeri hitu dan negeri wakal yang timbul dikarenakan pertikaian yang terjadi antara keduanya serta kurangnya kesadaran untuk menjaga kedamaian di masyarakat Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Peran Pemerintah Daerah Dalam Menangani Konflik antara Negeri Hitu dan Negeri Wakal di Kabupaten Maluku Tengah Provinsi Maluku serta tantangan atau hambatan serta Upaya yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Daerah dalam Konflik antara Negeri Hitu dan Negeri Wakal. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dekskriptif kualitatif yang menggunakan teori resolusi konflik 2 dari nordhe schulte. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam (9 informan), dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Temuan yang diperoleh penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu pemerintah telah mengupayakan penyelesaian konflik antara negeri hitu dan negeri wakal cepat terselesaikan namun masyarakat cenderung tidak ingin membantu pemerintah dalam menyelesaikan konflik yang terjadi Kesimpulan: Peran pemerintah dalam menangani konflik negeri hitu dan negeri wakal sudah dilakukan secara maksimal hal ini dibuktikan dengan pemerintah mengadakan pertemuan-pertemuan dengan kedua masyarakat untuk mendengarkan keinginan atau aspirasi dari keduanya namun dikarenakan masyarakat yang tidak berpartisipasi aktif dalam membantu penyelesaian masalah membuat konflik tidak terselesaikan secara maksimal.
