Abstract
ABSTRACT North Halmahera Regency has many beautiful tourist attractions, however, there is no tourist village in the area, therefore, it is planned to make Meti Village the first Marine Tourism Village in North Halmahera Regency. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out a feasibility study on Meti Village as a Marine Tourism Village. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a scoring method to analyze the potential of Meti Village as a Marine Tourism Village. The data is analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach, which describes data from secondary and primary sources. The potential of Meti Village was evaluated based on indicators from the guidelines for the Analysis of Operational Areas of Natural Tourism Attraction Objects (ADO-ODTWA) of the Directorate General of PHKA (2003). The results of the analysis show that Meti Village has great potential to be developed into a Marine Tourism Village in North Halmahera Regency, with a final index of 83.6%. This index shows that Meti Village is worthy of development, as also stated by Karsudi (in Barus, 2013) that areas with a feasibility index above 66.6% are eligible for development. However, there are still several things that need to be improved, such as improving supporting facilities and infrastructure, as well as more effective promotion and marketing. For this reason, cooperation between the local government, the private sector and the local community is needed to support the development of Meti Village as a quality tourist destination. Key Words : Marine Tourism Village, Feasibility Study ABSTRAK Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, memiliki banyak tempat wisata yang indah, meskipun begitu, belum ada desa wisata di daerah tersebut, oleh karena itu, rencananya adalah membuat Desa Meti menjadi Desa Wisata Bahari pertama di Kabupaten Halmahera Utara. Untuk itu, perlu dilakukan studi kelayakan terhadap Desa Meti sebagai Desa Wisata Bahari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode skoring untuk menganalisis potensi Desa Meti sebagai Desa Wisata Bahari, data dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, yang mendeskripsikan data dari sumber sekunder dan primer. Potensi Desa Meti dievaluasi berdasarkan indikator dari pedoman Analisis Daerah Operasi Objek Daya Tarik Wisata Alam (ADO-ODTWA) Ditjen PHKA (2003). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa Desa Meti memiliki potensi besar untuk dikembangkan menjadi Desa Wisata Bahari di Kabupaten Halmahera Utara, dengan indeks akhir 83,6%.Indeks ini menunjukkan bahwa Desa Meti layak untuk dikembangkan, sebagaimana juga disebutkan oleh Karsudi (dalam Barus, 2013) bahwa daerah dengan indeks kelayakan di atas 66,6% layak untuk dikembangkan. Meskipun demikian, masih ada beberapa hal yang perlu diperbaiki, seperti peningkatan sarana dan prasarana penunjang, serta promosi dan pemasaran yang lebih efektif. Untuk itu, kerjasama antara pemerintah daerah, pihak swasta, dan masyarakat setempat diperlukan untuk mendukung pengembangan Desa Meti sebagai destinasi wisata yang berkualitas.
