Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): West Lampung Regency is a district that is rich in natural beauty and tourism potential. Tourism is a driving sector which is the answer to society's inability to empower itself and its surroundings where life's needs and problems are increasingly complex. In sustainable development, it is also emphasized to maintain the preservation of nature, culture and customs in building tourist villages. One of the things that can be done to increase the community's ability to empower themselves and their environment is to build a tourist village. Purpose: This thesis examines and researches the empowerment of tourist village communities in sustainable development in various sub-districts in West Lampung Regency. What is the role of Pokdarwis in empowering the community, the obstacles they face, as well as the role of the West Lampung Regency Government, especially the Tourism and Culture Office, in supporting empowerment activities through tourism by community groups. Method: In preparing this thesis, the qualitative descriptive method is the most suitable method, namely the data obtained is studied and then developed with phenomena that occur in the field. The data collection technique uses interviews, direct observation in various sub-districts in West Lampung Regency, literature studies as well as documents and information - information that supports research activities. Result: The results of this research are to look at the community empowerment process by the Tourism Awareness Group which then examines the problems or obstacles faced whether they hinder the empowerment process or not and looks at the role of the West Lampung Regency Government in supporting empowerment through tourist villages that prioritize sustainable development. Conclusion: The conclusion of this research is that the role of Pokdarwis in helping communities become independent has been running quite well, being able to provide innovations regarding tourist villages, but there are several obstacles such as financial assistance, promotional efforts that are still lacking and business priorities from the community itself that must continue to be implemented. support to create independence, the solution implemented is to prioritize digital marketing as a promotional tool, help make it easier for people to find business partners and help market the community's small business products. Keywords: Group of tourism awareness, Role, Empowere ABSTRAK Permasalahan (GAP): Kabupaten Lampung Barat merupakan kabupaten yang kaya akan keindahan alam dan potensi kepariwisataan. Pariwisata merupakan sektor penggerak yang merupakan jawaban atas ketidakmampuan masyarakat untuk memberdayakan dirinya dan sekitarnya dimana kebutuhan hidup serta masalah semakin kompleks.Dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan juga di tekankan untuk tetap mempertahankan kelestarian alam, budaya serta adat-istiadat dalam membangun desa wisata.Salah satu hal yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat untuk memberdayaakan dirinya serta lingkunganya adalah dengan mendirikan desa wisata. Tujuan: Skripsi ini mengkaji dan meneliti mengenai pemberdayaan masyarakat desa wisata dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan di berbagai Kecamatan di Kabupaten Lampung Barat. Bagaimana peran pokdarwis dalam memberdayakan masyarakat, kendala kendala yang di hadapi,serta peran Pemerintah Kabupaten Lampung Barat khusunya Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan dalam mendukung kegiatan pemberdayaan melalui kepariwisataan oleh kelompok masyarakat. Metode: Dalam penyusunan skripsi ini metode kualitatif deskriptif merupakan metode yang paling cocok yaitu data yang di peroleh di kaji kemudian dikembangkan dengan fenomena yang terjadi di lapangan.Teknik pengumpulan datanya menggunakan wawancara, observasi secara langsung di berbagai Kecamatan di Kabupaten Lampung Barat, studi pustaka serta dokumen dan informasi-informasi yang mendukung kegiatan penelitian. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil Penelitian ini adalah melihat proses pemberdayaan masyarakat oleh Kelompok Sadar Wisata yang kemudian meneliti masalah atau kendala yang di hadapi apakah menghambat proses pemberdayaan atau tidak serta melihat peran Pemerintah Kabupaten Lampung Barat dalam rangka mendukung pemberdayaan melalui desa wisata yang mengedepankan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Kesimpulan: Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah peran pokdarwis dalam membantu masyarakat menjadi mandiri sudah berjalan cukup baik masyarakat mampu memberikan inovasi-inovasi mengenai desa wisata namun ada beberapa terhalang akan kendala seperti bantuan keuangan, upaya promosi yang masih kurang serta prioritas usaha dari masyarakat sendiri yang harus terus di dukung agar menciptakan kemandirian,solusi yang di terapkan adalah mengedepankan digital masrketing sebagai sarana promosi, membantu mempermudah masyarakat dalam mencari mitra usaha serta membantu memasarkan produk usaha kecil masyarakat.
