Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statment/Background (GAP) : This thesis discusses the empowerment of rice farmers through farmer groups as an effort to increase harvest yields in South Konawe Regency. Purpuse: The research was conducted to understand the role of farmer groups in increasing rice harvest yields and the factors influencing the success of farmer empowerment through these groups. Methods: The theory used in this research is the empowerment dimension according to Edi Suharto. The research design used is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques used in this research are interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, verification, and conclusion drawing. Results: The research results show that farmer groups play an important role in increasing rice harvest yields through various activities such as the use of better agricultural technology, the sharing of knowledge and experiences among members, and better access to resources and assistance from the government and other institutions. Factors such as active farmer involvement, support from local governments, and cooperation among farmers and with other relevant parties also play key roles in the success of farmer empowerment through farmer groups. Conclusions: The implications of this research are the need for greater attention to the role of farmer groups in increasing rice harvest yields and the importance of policy support and programs that facilitate farmer empowerment at the local level. Keyword: Empowerment; Rice Farmers; Farmers Groups ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Skripsi ini membahas tentang pemberdayaan petani padi melalui kelompok tani sebagai upaya meningkatkan hasil panen di Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Tujuan: Penelitian dilakukan untuk memahami peran serta kelompok tani dalam meningkatkan hasil panen padi, serta faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi keberhasilan pemberdayaan petani melalui kelompok tani. Metode: Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu dimensi pemberdayaan menurut Edi Suharto. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, verifikasi, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelompok tani memiliki peran penting dalam meningkatkan hasil panen padi melalui berbagai kegiatan seperti penggunaan teknologi pertanian yang lebih baik, pembagian pengetahuan dan pengalaman antaranggota, serta akses yang lebih baik terhadap sumber daya dan bantuan dari pemerintah dan lembaga lainnya. Faktor-faktor seperti keterlibatan aktif petani, dukungan dari pemerintah daerah, serta kerja sama antarpetani dan 2 dengan pihak terkait lainnya juga memainkan peran kunci dalam keberhasilan pemberdayaan petani melalui kelompok tani. Kesimpulan: Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah perlunya perhatian yang lebih besar terhadap peran kelompok tani dalam meningkatkan hasil panen padi, serta pentingnya dukungan kebijakan dan program yang memfasilitasi pemberdayaan petani di tingkat lokal.
