Abstract
ABSTRAK Satu diantara cara guna mengoptimalkan mutu sumber daya manusia ialah lewat mendorong minat baca masyarakat. Dalam usaha membudayakan minat baca ini, Pemerintah memegang fungsi kunci. Pemerintah berperan sebagai pengatur kebijakan dasar pada pelaksanaan kewajibannya atas Undang-Undang Dasar 1945, yakni dalam upaya meningkatkan tingkat literasi masyarakat. Salah satu implementasi kebijakan ini adalah pendirian perpustakaan, yang bertujuan untuk mendorong masyarakat agar lebih aktif membaca. Tujuan dari Penelitian berikut guna memahami bagaimana kinerja Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Kuningan guna membudayakan minat baca. Dari permasalahan yang ada, terdapat beberapa teori yang digunakan yaitu, kinerja, pelayanan publik, pelayanan perpustakaan, dan minat baca. Jenis Penelitian ialah kualitatif melalui metode studi deskriptif dan pendekatan induktif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan Kinerja Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan belum maksimal, masih ada sejumlah hal yang kurang terlaksana secara benar, misalnya ruangan baca yang hanya 1, koleksi buku yang kurang, penempatan buku yang masih belum urut, pustakawan yang hanya 1, jadwal perpustakaan yang belum sesuai. Upaya yang dilakukan adalah menambah koleksi buku, mengatur posisi buku agar berurut, menambah pustakawan dan fasilitas lainnya. Kata Kunci: Perpustakaan, Membudayakan, Minat Baca. ABSTRACT One way to make strides the quality of human assets is to empower people's intrigued in perusing. In this effort to cultivate interest in reading, the government plays a key role. The government acts as the main policy setter in implementing its obligations to the 1945 Constitution, namely in efforts to increase the level of community literacy. One of the implementations of this policy is the establishment of libraries, which aims to encourage people to be more active in reading. This research aims to find out how the performance of the Kuningan Regency Archives and Library Office in cultivating interest in reading. From the existing problems, there are several theories used, namely, performance, public services, library services, and reading interest. The sort of investigate is subjective with expressive investigate strategies and inductive approaches. The comes about of this ponder appear that the execution of the Files and Library Benefit isn't ideal, there are still a few things that have not been running appropriately such as perusing rooms that are as it were 1, book collections that are lacking, book placement that is still not in order, librarians who are only 1, library schedules that are not appropriate. Efforts made are to add a collection of books, arrange the position of books so that they are in order, add librarians and other facilities. Keyword: Library, Cultivating, Interest in Reading.
