Abstract

Problem (GAP): The author focuses on political participation in the village head election (Pilkades) in Balerejo Village showing a strong commitment to maintaining the level of voter participation through effective strategies. Objective: The aim of this research is to create an inclusive and participatory government system, where the voice of every citizen is respected in every decision taken. Method: this research uses a descriptive quantitative method with an inductive approach with data collection techniques using observation, documentation and interview methods as well as data analysis techniques using interactive model data analysis and using the theory of political participation according to Arnstein. Data collection techniques were carried out using in-depth interviews (13 informants) and documentation. Results/Findings: The findings obtained by the author in this research prove that community political participation in the implementation of the Balirejo Village Village Election shows a very satisfactory level of participation, as seen from active community involvement during the Village Election process, as well as various forms of participation such as discussions and social media. Conclusion: Community political participation in the implementation of the Balerjo Village Village Election shows a very satisfactory level. The community was actively involved in various stages of the village election process, showing high enthusiasm in choosing their village leader. During the registration and candidate determination stages, the community took part in socialization and village meetings related to the Village Head Election, as well as attending campaign events to hear the vision and mission of each village head candidate.
