Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem/Background (GAP): The Environment and Forestry Service has problems experienced in waste management, namely a lack of public understanding of waste problems, a lack of innovation, and a waste bank that has not been realized. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out, analyze and describe strategies to improve waste management in Kendari City, inhibiting factors in making strategies to improve waste management in order to improve waste management in Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Method: Descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews and documentation. Results: The research results show that the waste management carried out by the Kendari City DLHK is not running optimally. Due to the lack of public understanding of waste problems, lack of innovation, and waste banks that have not been realized. Conclusion: strategies are needed to improve waste management in Kendari City DLHK, such as providing outreach to the public about waste problems, maximizing and creating new innovations, and efforts to immediately realize a waste bank. Keywords: ASOCA, Kendari City, Waste Management Strategy ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Dinas Lingkungan hidup dan Kehutanan memiliki permasalahan yang dialami dalam pengelolaan sampah yaitu kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap masalah persampahan,minimnya inovasi, dan bank sampah yang belum terealisasi Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, menganalisis serta mendeskripsikan strategi untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan sampah Kota Kendari, faktor penghambat dalam membuat strategi untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan sampah guna meningkatkan pengelolaan sampah di Kota Kendari Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Metode: Metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan sampah yang dilakukan oleh DLHK Kota Kendari berjalan belum maksimal. Karena kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat terhadap masalah persampahan, minimnya inovasi, dan bank sampah yang belum terealisasi. Kesimpulan: diperlukan strategi untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan sampah di DLHK Kota Kendari seperti memberikan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang masalah persampahan, memaksimalkan dan membuat inovasi baru, dan usaha untuk segera merealisasikan bank sampah.
