Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem/Background (GAP): Bawaslu of Central Lampung Regency carries out strategic steps ranging from receiving reports, evaluations, clarifications, to in-depth investigations into alleged violations. This process involves training and capacity building of Bawaslu's human resources to ensure the success of the elections. The results of the investigation are announced transparently to the public, and Bawaslu has the authority to provide sanctions or recommendations in accordance with applicable law. Purpose: To understand how Bawaslu carries out its duties in preventing violations in order to achieve success in the 2024 elections. Method: This study uses qualitative descriptive method with inductive approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations and documentation. Results/Findings: The result of this study is that Bawaslu of Central Lampung Regency has proven to have a very important role in preventing violations in the 2024 elections. They carry out strategic steps ranging from receiving reports, evaluation, clarification, to in-depth investigation of alleged violations. The review process for reports of administrative violations is carefully and systematically designed to ensure fairness in responding to every report that comes in. Conclusion: Bawaslu Lampung Tengah in implementing the prevention of election violations faces several factors. First, there are the findings of swapped ballots, ballots that have been voted, and alleged money politics. In addition, there is resistance to the rules and procedures that have been established by some parties. Keywords: Indonesian Political System, Elections, Role of Bawaslu. ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Bawaslu Kabupaten Lampung Tengah melakukan langkah-langkah strategis mulai dari penerimaan laporan, evaluasi, klarifikasi, hingga penyelidikan mendalam terhadap dugaan pelanggaran. Proses ini melibatkan pelatihan dan pengembangan kapasitas sumber daya manusia Bawaslu untuk memastikan keberhasilan Pemilu. Tujuan: Untuk memahami bagaimana Bawaslu melaksanakan tugasnya dalam mencegah pelanggaran demi mencapai keberhasilan Pemilu tahun 2024. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Bawaslu Kabupaten Lampung Tengah terbukti memiliki peran yang sangat penting dalam mencegah pelanggaran dalam Pemilu tahun 2024. Mereka melakukan langkah-langkah strategis mulai dari penerimaan laporan, evaluasi, klarifikasi, hingga penyelidikan mendalam terhadap dugaan pelanggaran. Proses pengkajian laporan pelanggaran administrasi dirancang secara cermat dan sistematis untuk memastikan keadilan dalam menanggapi setiap laporan yang masuk. Kesimpulan: Bawaslu Lampung Tengah dalam melaksanakan pencegahan pelanggaran Pemilu menghadapi beberapa faktor. Pertama, adanya temuan surat suara tertukar, surat suara yang telah tercoblos, dan dugaan politik uang. Selain itu, terdapat penolakan terhadap aturan dan prosedur yang telah ditetapkan oleh beberapa pihak. Kata kunci: Sistem Politik Indonesia, Pemilu, Peran Bawaslu.
