Abstract
ABSTRACT Background (GAP): The industrial sector plays a crucial role in enhancing the economy and regional and national development. In Kampung Pugima, the development of small-scale industries based on the creative economy, such as Pugima Honey, shows significant potential. However, the production process and outputs are not yet fully optimal, necessitating economic empowerment and creative economic development efforts to sustain the local economy. Objective: This study aims to describe and analyze economic empowerment, the inhibiting factors in economic empowerment, and the efforts made by the small-scale Pugima Honey industry based on the creative economy in Kampung Pugima. Method: This research uses a descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through three stages: data collection, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results/Findings: The research findings indicate that the economic empowerment of the small-scale Pugima Honey industry based on the creative economy by the Department of Labor, Industry, and Trade of Jayawijaya Regency has not been fully optimal. The main inhibiting factors include the lack of empowerment programs for Pugima Honey entrepreneurs in honeybee cultivation and insufficient knowledge about product marketing using technology. Efforts made by the related department include providing training on honeybee cultivation and technical guidance on product marketing to enhance the knowledge and skills of entrepreneurs. Conclusion: More comprehensive and sustainable empowerment programs are needed to support the small-scale Pugima Honey industry, particularly in aspects of cultivation and product marketing using technology. Keywords: creative economy, small-scale industry, economic empowerment ABSTRAK Latar Belakang (GAP): Sektor industri berperan penting dalam meningkatkan perekonomian serta pembangunan daerah dan nasional. Di Kampung Pugima, perkembangan industri kecil berbasis ekonomi kreatif, seperti Madu Pugima, menunjukkan potensi besar. Namun, proses produksi dan hasil produksi belum sepenuhnya optimal, sehingga diperlukan upaya pemberdayaan ekonomi dan pengembangan ekonomi kreatif untuk mempertahankan perekonomian setempat. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pemberdayaan ekonomi, faktor penghambat dalam pemberdayaan ekonomi, serta upaya yang dilakukan oleh industri kecil Madu Pugima berbasis ekonomi kreatif di Kampung Pugima. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap: pengumpulan data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberdayaan ekonomi industri kecil Madu Pugima berbasis ekonomi kreatif oleh Dinas Tenaga Kerja, Perindustrian, dan Perdagangan Kabupaten Jayawijaya belum optimal. Faktor penghambat utama meliputi kurangnya program pemberdayaan untuk pelaku usaha Madu Pugima dalam budidaya lebah madu serta kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pemasaran produk menggunakan teknologi. Upaya yang dilakukan oleh dinas terkait meliputi pelatihan budidaya lebah madu dan bimbingan teknis pemasaran produk untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku usaha. Kesimpulan: Diperlukan program pemberdayaan yang lebih komprehensif dan berkelanjutan untuk mendukung industri kecil Madu Pugima, khususnya dalam aspek budidaya dan pemasaran produk dengan memanfaatkan teknologi.
