Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem/Background (GAP): Social capital is an attitude of mutual trust and mutual benefit for mutual progress, social capital is based on the concept of trust, norms and networks where social capital is the source of social relations in society. Objective: To find out how the social capital of farmer groups improves the performance of farmers in efforts to produce rice agriculture. Method: With qualitative research methods, triangulation techniques are used in data collection, so regarding the validity of the data, cross-checking will be carried out using the same source but with different methods. Results/Findings: Social capital has a role in utilizing good values and norms in productivity continues to increase because with social capital effectiveness and efficiency can be achieved simply by farmer groups obeying the rules so that there is no difference in agricultural activities. Conclusion: The aspect of transparency is also a focus in improving the government system in Kubu District. While there is still room for improvement, steps have been taken to improve Keywords: social capital, farmer groups, productivity, performance, relationships, trust, Cirebon Regency agriculture office ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Modal sosial merupakan sikap saling percaya dan saling menguntungkan untuk kemajuan bersama, modal sosial didasarkan pada konsep kepercayaan, norma dan jaringan dimana modal sosial sebagai sumber hubungan sosial dalam bermasyarakat. Tujuan: Mengetahui bagaimana modal sosial kelompok tani dalam meningkatkan kinerja petani dalam upaya produktivitas pertanian padi. Metode: Dengan metode penelitian kualitatif, digunakan triangulasi teknik dalam pengumpulan data, maka terkait keabsahan data akan dilakukan cara ricek cross cek dengan sumber yang sama namun metode yang berbeda. Hasil/Temuan: modal sosial memiliki peran pemanfaatan nilai dan norma yang baik dalam produktivitas terus meningkat karena dengan modal sosial efektifitas dan efisiensi bisa dicapai secara sederhana kelompok tani mematuhi aturan sehingga tidak ada perbedaan dalam kegiatan pertanian. Kesimpulan: The social capital of farmer groups has not been utilized to the fullest, especially in trust as a means of emotional communication between fellow farmers, farmer groups and extension workers as government representatives who directly interact with farmers.
