Abstract

Problem Statement/Background (GAP): There are still many employees at the Mamasa Regency DPMPTSP who lack discipline because their motivation to work is lacking. Then the delay and reduction in TPP received by employees resulted in the existence of several employees whose duties and responsibilities had not been carried out optimally and were not in accordance with what was expected. Purpose: This research aims to determine and explain increasing civil servant work motivation through providing additional employee income at the DPMPTSP Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi Province, to determine and explain the inhibiting factors for increasing civil servant work motivation through providing additional employee income at the DPMPTSP Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi Province and to understand and explain efforts to overcome factors inhibiting increasing civil servants' work motivation by providing additional income to employees at the DPMPTSP, Mamasa Regency, West Sulawesi Province. Method: The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with an inductive approach and using the Motivation theory by Abraham H Maslow which was initiated by Hasibuan (2017:224-226). Data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentation and there were eight employees who were used as informants when carrying out the research. Results/Findings: provision of TPP has been able to improve the performance of civil servants in carrying out their duties or work. After the provision of TPP, civil servants were more enthusiastic and motivated to complete the work received. Conclusion: Increasing Civil Servants' Work Motivation through the provision of TPP at DPMPTSP has gone well, this can be seen from four of the five dimensions studied, namely physiological needs, security needs, social needs and self-actualization needs that have gone well, while the other dimension is the need for esteem not going well. Keywords : Improvement, Work Motivation, Employees Permasalahan (GAP): Masih banyak pegawai di DPMPTSP Kabupaten Mamasa yang kurang disiplin karena motivasinya untuk bekerja menjadi kurang. Kemudian keterlambatan dan pengurangan TPP yang diterima pegawai mengakibatkan masih adanya beberapa pegawai yang tugas dan tanggung jawabnya belum terlaksana dengan optimal dan belum sesuai dengan apa yang diharapkan. Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan peningkatan motivasi kerja PNS melalui pemberian tambahan penghasilan pegawai di DPMPTSP Kabupaten Mamasa Provinsi Sulawesi Barat, untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan faktor penghambat peningkatan motivasi kerja PNS melalui pemberian tambahan penghasilan pegawai di DPMPTSP Kabupaten Mamasa Provinsi Sulawesi Barat dan untuk mengetahui dan menjelaskan upaya untuk mengatasi faktor penghambat peningkatan motivasi kerja PNS melalui pemberian tambahan penghasilan pegawai di DPMPTSP Kabupaten Mamasa Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Metode: Metode Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif dan menggunakan teori Motivasi oleh Abraham H Maslow yang digagaskan oleh Hasibuan (2017:224-226). Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi serta terdapat delapan orang pegawai yang dijadikan sebagai informan pada saat melaksanakan penelitian. Hasil/Temuan: pemberian TPP telah mampu meningkatkan kinerja pegawai negeri sipil dalam pelaksanaan tugas atau pekerjaan. Setelah adanya pemberian TPP, pegawai negeri sipil lebih bersemangat dan juga termotivasi untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaan yang diterima. Kesimpulan: Peningkatan Motivasi Kerja PNS melalui pemberian TPP di DPMPTSP sudah berjalan baik, hal tersebut dilihat dari empat dari lima dimensi yang diteliti yaitu kebutuhan fisiologikal, kebututuhan keamanan, kebutuhan sosial dan kebutuhan aktualisasi diri telah berjalan dengan baik, sedangkan satu dimensi lainnya yaitu kebutuhan penghargaan belum berjalan dengan baik.
