Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem/Background (GAP): Researchers focus on the problem of empowering micro-entrepreneurs of Nyatu Rubber crafts, which to date is still not optimal in widely introducing the potential for utilizing crafts made from Rubber Nyatu. What is the form of empowerment of Nyatu Rubber Craft Micro Business actors by the Department of Trade, Cooperatives, SMEs and Industry of the City of Palangka Raya and what are the obstacles faced by Nyatu rubber craft micro business actors and craftsmen in running the Nyatu rubber craft processing business which is the main problem for its realization maximum empowerment of Getah Nyatu craft micro-entrepreneurs. Objective: This research aims to describe the empowerment of Nyatu Rubber Craft micro-entrepreneurs and explain the obstacles faced in the empowerment efforts carried out. Method: This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research with an inductive approach. Data collection techniques through interviews, direct and indirect observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results are based on 3 dimensions of empowerment according to Randy R Wrihatnolo, namely Awareness, Capacity and Empowerment. Results/Findings: In this research, the author found that the city Palangka Raya City Government, in its efforts to empower Getah Nyatu craft micro-entrepreneurs, has never provided assistance in the form of cash capital, supporting facilities and so on, but the empowerment efforts carried out are through providing socialization on the introduction of the potential of crafts made from raw materials. Nyatu Rubber as well as training to improve skills in processing crafts made from Nyatu Rubber. However, there are still challenges in implementing efforts to empower the Getah Nyatu craft micro-entrepreneurs. Conclusion: The author concludes that the empowerment of Nyatu Rubber craft micro-entrepreneurs faces obstacles, namely that the socialization of the introduction to the potential of Nyatu sap crafts is still not intensively carried out seeing that there are still few young people who want to utilize the potential of Nyatu sap crafts and the difficulty in obtaining raw materials also impacts on the difficulty of developing creativity and expanding craft market. Therefore, the author suggests that the Department of Trade, Cooperatives, SMEs and Industry of the City of Palangka Raya can further intensify efforts to socialize the introduction of the potential of Nyatu sap crafts to the younger generation at large so that this craft does not become extinct and can remain preserved as well as strive for the availability of raw materials for Nyatu tree sap. by cultivating Nyatu wood trees so that the problem of difficulty in obtaining raw materials can be resolved. Keywords: Empowerment, Micro Enterprises, Nyatu Rubber Crafts, City of Palangka Raya ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Peneliti berfokus pada permasalahan pemberdayaan pelaku usaha mikro kerajinan Getah Nyatu yang sampai saat ini masih belum optimal dalam memperkenalkan secara luas potensi pemanfaatan kerajinan berbahan dasar Getah Nyatu. Bagaimana bentuk pemberdayaan pelaku Usaha Mikro Kerajinan Getah Nyatu oleh Dinas Perdagangan, Koperasi, UKM, dan Perindustrian Kota Palangka Raya serta apa saja kendala yang dihadapi oleh pelaku usaha mikro kerajinan getah nyatu dan para perajin daIam menjalankan usaha pengolahan kerajinan getah nyatu menjadi masalah utama untuk terwujudnya pemberdayaan pelaku usaha mikro kerajinan Getah Nyatu yang maksimal. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemberdayaan pelaku usaha mikro Kerajinan Getah Nyatu serta memaparkan kendala yang dihadapi dalam upaya pemberdayaan yang dilakukan. Metode: Penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi langsung dan tidak langsung serta dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian melalui 3 dimensi pemberdayaan menurut Randy R Wrihatnolo yaitu Penyadaran, Pengkapasitasan, dan Pendayaan. Hasil/Temuan: Dalam penelitian ini penulis menemukan bahwa Pemerintah Kota Palangka Raya dalam upaya memberdayakan pelaku usaha mikro kerajinan Getah Nyatu belum pernah memberikan bantuan berupa modal uang, fasilitas penunjang dan lain sebagainya namun upaya pemberdayaan yang dilakukan adalah melalui pemberian sosialisasi pengenalan potensi kerajinan berbahan dasar Getah Nyatu serta pelatihan peningkatan keterampilan pengolahan kerajinan berbahan dasar Getah Nyatu. Meskipun demikian, masih ada tantangan dalam pelaksanaan upaya pemberdayaan pelaku usaha mikro kerajinan Getah Nyatu ini. Kesimpulan: Penulis menyimpulkan bahwa pemberdayaan pelaku usaha mikro kerajinan Getah Nyatu menghadapi kendala yaitu sosialisasi pengenalan potensi kerajinan getah nyatu masih belum gencar dilakukan melihat masih sedikit generasi muda yang mau memanfaatkan potensi kerajinan getah nyatu dan kesulitan memperoleh bahan baku berimbas pula pada sulitnya mengembangkan kreatifitas dan memperluas pasar kerajinan. Oleh karena itu penulis memberikan saran Dinas Perdagangan Koperasi UKM dan Perindustrian Kota Palangka Raya dapat lebih menggiatkan lagi upaya sosialisasi pengenalan potensi kerajinan Getah Nyatu kepada generasi muda secara luas agar kerajinan ini tidak punah dan dapat tetap terlestarikan serta mengupayakan ketersediaan pemenuhan kebutuhan bahan baku getah pohon Nyatu dengan melakukan pembudidayaan tanaman pohon kayu Nyatu agar permasalahan sulitnya memperoleh bahan baku dapat teratasi.
