Abstract

Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The low level of political education in Aceh Besar causes low levels of community participation. Political education is an important factor in increasing community political participation. Political parties as one of the political actors have an important role in providing political education to the community. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to analyze the implementation of political education from the Democratic Party and the Aceh Party in improving political education for the community in Aceh Besar Regency. Method: In this research the author uses Rusadi Kantaprawira's theory as a tool to see what form of political education is provided to society. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach and the method used is triangulation, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Result: The results of the research show that the Democratic Party and the Aceh Party have implemented various political education programs for the community in Aceh Besar Regency. These programs include: print media, audio visual, direct. Conclusion: Political education provided through print media is good because it is considered in-depth but less practical for busy people. Political education provided through audio-visual is also better because it is preferred because of accessibility and ease of understanding. Political education provided directly is very good because it is interactive. and deep so it is highly appreciated, even though it is sometimes difficult for everyone to access.
