Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem (GAP): Job Analysis is carried out to find out information about a particular position, this information includes duties, responsibilities and working conditions related to aspects of work in an organization as well as the qualifications of employees in that position. At the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency of Pamekasan Regency, out of 46 employees, there are 20 employees who have an educational background that is not in accordance with the position they are holding so that it affects their duties and performance abilities. Purpose: This research aims to understand how job analysis is carried out at the Pamekasan Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency. Method: This qualitative research method applies a descriptive approach with an inductive approach. Results/Findings: The research results show that the implementation of job analysis at the Pamekasan Regency Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency has still not reached the optimal level. Conclusion: Of the six existing research indicators, three of them are still not good, namely in the aspects of duties and responsibilities carried out by each employee, formal educational background that is not appropriate or not linear with the position held, thus affecting the ability and competence of employees Obstacles faced include the inadequate quality of human resources as well as proposals for additional employees to fill vacant positions that have not received approval from the Regent of Pamekasan Regency. Efforts made are to provide opportunities for ASN employees to participate in training, outreach and technical guidance. Regarding the shortage of human resources, the Pamekasan Regency Personnel and Human 1 Resources Development Agency is trying to coordinate with the Provincial Personnel Agency.
