Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author focuses on the fertility rate problem in Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara Province. Purpose: This research aims to analyze the fertility rate in Kupang City Method: This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and analysis of birth according to the Adioetomo and Samosir Theory. Data collection techniques were carried out using observation, in-depth interviews (6 informants), and documentation. Result: The findings obtained by the author in this research are that the birth rate in Kupang City is starting to decline due to several factors that influence births such as age at first marriage, education, employment status, and contraception showing good results. Apart from that, customary factors also influence the birth rate in Kupang City. Conclusion: The fertility rate in Kupang City is starting to decline, supported by the results of analysis of age at first marriage, education, employment status and contraception showing good results. Keywords: Fertility; Population Growth; Family Planning ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Penulis berfokus pada permasalahan tingkat kelahiran di Kota Kupang Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Timur. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis bagaimana tingkat kelahiran di Kota Kupang. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan analisis terhadap kelahiran menurut Teori Adioetomo dan Samosir. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam (6 informan), dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Temuan yang diperoleh penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu tingkat kelahiran di Kota Kupang mulai menurun disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kelahiran seperti umur kawin pertama, pendidikan, status pekerjaan, dan kontrasepsi menunjukkan hasil yang baik selain itu faktor adat istiadat juga mempengaruhi tingkat kelahiran di Kota Kupang. Kesimpulan: Tingkat kelahiran di Kota Kupang mulai menurun didukung dari hasil analisis terhadap umur kawin pertama, pendidikan, status pekerjaan, dan kontrasepsi menunjukkan hasil yang baik.
