Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Becoming a leader for women is certainly not an easy thing, let alone being an Acting Regent. Along with her hard work efforts as a leader, Rinny Tamuntuan is not free from various challenges when carrying out her duties and obligations. Purpose: This research aims to determine the leadership style of women as the Acting Regent of Sangihe, Dr. Rinny Tamuntuan. Apart from that, to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors for women's leadership as Acting Regent of Sangihe. Method: This research method uses a qualitative descriptive method with an inductive approach. The theory used is the theory of women's leadership styles by Situmorang where there are four types of leadership styles with twelve dimensions. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data verification, and drawing conclusions. Results: Based on research conducted there are several findings that the leadership style applied by the Acting Regent of Sangihe Islands Regency, in this case Dr. Rinny Tamuntuan is a feminine leadership style - transformational because of the suitability based on the data and individual character of Dr. Rinny Tamuntuan. Apart from that, there are two similar indicators between the two styles, namely charismatic and team oriented with individual consideration. Conclusion: Dr. Rinny Ramuntuan is a feminine-transformational leadership style. With supporting factors including; the relatively smooth process of appointing the acting regent of Rinny, his skills/abilities in leading government, work experience, and positive reception from the majority of the Sangihe community. Factors that hinder Dr. Rinny Tamuntuan in carrying out his leadership in the Sangihe Islands Regency, namely geographical and weather conditions that are not conducive and lack of support from political parties for women. Keywords: Women's Leadership Style, Acting Regent ABSTRAK Permasalahan (GAP): Menjadi pemimpin bagi kaum perempuan tentu bukan hal yang gampang, apalagi menjadi Penjabat Bupati. Seiring dengan usaha kerja keras sebagai seorang pemimpin, Rinny Tamuntuan tidak lepas dari berbagai tantangan saat menjalankan tugas dan kewajiban.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gaya kepemimpinan perempuan Penjabat Bupati Sangihe dr. Rinny Tamuntuan. Selain itu untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat kepemimpinan perempuan sebagai Penjabat Bupati Sangihe. Metode: Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori gaya kepemimpinan perempuan oleh Situmorang dimana ada empat macam gaya kepemimpinan dengan dua belas dimensi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, verifikasi data, dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil/Temuan: Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan terdapat beberapa temuan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan oleh Penjabat Bupati Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe dalam hal ini dr. Rinny Tamuntuan adalah gaya kepemimpinan feminim – transformasional karena adanya kesesuaian berdasarkan data dan karakter individu dr. Rinny Tamuntuan. Selain itu, terdapat dua indikator yang serupa antara kedua gaya tersebut, yaitu charismatic dan team oriented dengan individual consideration. Kesimpulan: Gaya kepemimpinan dr. Rinny Ramuntuan merupakan gaya kepemimpinan Feminim-Transformasional. Dengan faktor pendukung antara lain ; proses penunjukkan penjabat bupati rinny yang relatif lancar, skill / kemampuan beliau dalam memimpin pemerintahan, pengalaman kerja, hingga penerimaan positif dari mayoritas masyarakat sangihe. Faktor yang menjadi hambatan dr. Rinny Tamuntuan dalam menjalankan kepemimpinannya di Kabupaten Kepulauan Sangihe yaitu kondisi geografis dan cuaca yang kurang kondusif serta kurangnya dukungan partai politik bagi kaum perempuan.
