Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Communication is a way for humans to exchange meanings through messages in the interactions we carry out. Communication will make it easier for humans to relate, but it is different if the communication carried out is not in accordance with good ethics because it can affect the image of humans and a government agency. Purpose: This research aims to describe the influence of communication ethics on the image of Satpol PP in East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Method: The research method used is a quantitative explanative research method. The number of samples in this study was 30 respondents. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. Primary data from questionnaires in East Lombok Regency were analyzed using a simple linear regression test. Result: According to the results of a simple linear regression test, it shows that the value (R Square) is 0.168, equivalent to 16.8%. This shows that the influence of communication ethics on the image of Satpol PP is 16.8%. Conclusion: Researchers suggest that Satpol PP in carrying out its main duties and functions must pay attention to the ethics used in communication considering that the influence it has in improving the image of the civil service police unit is quite significant. Moreover, when dealing directly with society, society in this digital era is very sensitive, so the small things that civil service police unit personnel usually do can have a big impact on the civil service police unit. Keywords: Influence, Communication Ethics, Image ABSTRAK Permasalahan (GAP): Komunikasi merupakan suatu cara yang dilakukan manusia untuk saling menukar makna melalui sebuah pesan dalam interaksi yang kita lakukan. Komunikasi akan mempermudah manusia dalam berhubungan, namun beda halnya jika komunikasi yang dilakukan tidak sesuai dengan etika yang baik karena dapat berpengaruh terhadap citra yang dimiliki oleh manusia maupun suatu instansi pemerintahan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan Pengaruh Etika Komunikasi Terhadap Citra Satpol PP Di Kabupaten Lombok Timur Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif eksplanatif. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Data primer hasil kuesioner di Kabupaten Lombok Timur dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji regresi linier sederhana. Hasil/Temuan: Menurut hasil uji regresi linear sederhana menunjukkan bahwa nilai (R Square) adalah sebesar 0,168 setara dengan 16,8%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh etika komunikasi terhadap citra satpol pp sebesar 16,8%. Kesimpulan: Peneliti menyarankan Satpol PP dalam melaksanakan tugas pokok maupun fungsinya agar tetap memperhatikan etika yang digunakan dalam berkomunikasi mengingat pengaruh yang diberikan dalam meningkatkan citra satuan polisi pamong praja cukup signifikan. Terlebih lagi ketika berhadapan langsung dengan masyarakat yang dimana masyarakat di era digital ini sangatlah sensitive sehingga hal hal kecil yang biasa dilakukan personil satuan polisi pamong praja dapat berdampak besar bagi satuan polisi pamong praja.
