Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Slow dissemination of information through the Website is the focus of the author's problem where in terms of organizing information dissemination through the website is still often late and the lack of public knowledge about the existence of the official website of the Sorong City Government as a forum for disseminating information to the public. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effectiveness of public information dissemination through the Sorong City Government website. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effectiveness of public information dissemination through the Sorong City Government website. Method: The method used in this study is qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. To obtain data, researchers use primary data sources and secondary data and this study is expected to be able to convey the required data clearly. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Result: The findings obtained by the author in this study are that the dissemination process carried out by diskominfo is good enough because the lack of data infrastructure and existing networks are still very lacking, but for the public it is still very lacking in terms of conveying information to the public because there are still many who have not been able to feel the benefits of the website.Conclusion: Dissemination of information through the website carried out by the Communication and Information Agency is still very lacking because researchers found that there are still some indicators that are not yet in the category of not yet effective. Keywords: Effectiveness; Dissemination of information; Website 2 ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Diseminasi informasi melalui Website yang lambat menjadi fokus permasalahan penulis dimana dari segi penyelenggaraan diseminasi informasi melalui website masih sering terlambat dan kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat tentang adanya website resmi Pemerintah Kota Sorong sebagai wadah dalam diseminasi informasi kepada masyarakat. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis efektivitas diseminasi informasi publik melalui website Pemerintah Kota Sorong. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Untuk mendapatkan data, peneliti menggunakan sumber data primer dan data sekunder serta penelitian ini diharapkan mampu menyampaikan data yang dibutuhkan dengan jelas. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Temuan yang diperoleh penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu proses diseminasi yang dilakukan diskominfo sudah cukup baik menggingat kurangnya infrastruktur data dan jaringan yang ada masih sangat kurang namun bagi masyarakat masih sangat kurang dari segi tersampaikanya informasi kepada masyarakat karena masih banyak yang belum dapat merasakan manfaat dari website tersebut. Kesimpulan: Diseminasi informasi melalui website yang dilakukan Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika masih sangat kurang karena peneliti menemukan masih ada beberapa indikator yang belum yang masih dalam kategori belum efektiv.
