Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem/Background (GAP): Based on Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure, it is stated that “Every Public Information is open and can be accessed by every Public Information User. The exempted Public Information is strict and limited. Every Public Information must be obtained by every Public Information Applicant quickly and on time, at low cost, and in a simple way. Purpose: This research is focused on looking at the quality of the Diskominfo website as a medium for conveying public information to the public, the benefits and uses of the website, as well as the shortcomings of the website.Methods: The method used in this research is to use a qualitative method with an approach that intends to find out accurately and in detail the symptoms that appear on the object of research. then draw conclusions, general problem solving by using interviews, observation and documentation as data collection instruments.Research conducted by the author, that the website sorongkota.go.id as a medium for conveying public information has been going well in providing information to the public, but news and information are not updated regularly. Results/Findings: As a medium for conveying public information, Diskominfo has run this website which helps in disseminating information for the public, despite all the shortcomings that exist on the sorongkota.go.id website, with the Kota Sorong website all programs in communication and information services can be conveyed to the public. Conclusion : The quality of the information presented on the Papua Province Discominfo website can be said to have good information accuracy, the information has relevance to the needs of the community and has good information renewal, however, in updating information, the information presented is still not up-to-date. Keywords: Quality, sorongkota.go.id website, information delivery media ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2008 mengenai Keterbukaan Informasi Publik, disebutkan bahwa “ Setiap Informasi Publik bersifat terbuka dan dapat diakses oleh setiap Pengguna Informasi Publik. Informasi Publik yang dikecualikan bersifat ketat dan terbatas. Setiap Informasi Publik harus dapat diperoleh setiap Pemohon Informasi Publik dengan cepat dan tepat waktu, biaya ringan, dan cara sederhana. Tujuan : Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk melihat kualitas website diskominfo sebagai media penyampai informasi publik bagi masyarakat , manfaat dan kegunaan website, serta kekurangan pada website. Metode : Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan yang bermaksud untuk mengetahui secara akurat dan detail atas gejala-gejala yang muncul terhadap objek penelitian . Selanjtnya menarik kesimpulan, pemecahan masalah yang bersifat umum dengan menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data.Penelitian yang dilakukan penulis, bahwa website sorongkota.go.id sebagai media penyampai informasi publik sudah berjalan dengan baik dalam memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat, namun untuk berita dan informasi kurang diupdate secara berkala. Hasil/Temuan : Sebagai media penyampai informasi publik, Diskominfo sudah menjalankan website ini yang mana membantu dalam penyebaran informasi bagi masyarakat , terlepas dari segala kekurangan yang ada pada website sorongkota.go.id Kota Sorong Provinsi Papua Barat, dengan adanya website sorongkota.go.id segala program dalam pelayanan komunikasi dan informasi dapat tersampaikan kepada masyarakat. Kesimpulan : Kualitas informasi yang disajikan pada website sorongkota.go.id Kota Sorong Provinsi Papua Barat dapat dikatakan telah memiliki akurasi informasi yang baik, informasi memiliki relevansi dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dan memiliki kebaharuan informasi yang baik, namun dalam updating information, informasi yang disajikan masih tergolong kurang update.
