Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement / Background (GAP): Child stunting is categorized as a chronic nutritional problem motivated by many factors such as socioeconomic conditions, nutrition of pregnant women, pain in infants and insufficient nutritional intake in infants and pregnant women. The problem of stunting in Bone District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, which has a good stunting journey with the achievement of stunting prevalence decreases in time. Behind its success, it is possible to have a good political commitment. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine the Political Commitment of Local Governments in Bone District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province in reducing stunting prevalence, highlighted in the commitment here are aspects of law enforcement and business sustainability..Method: The theory used is the theory of commitment from brinkerhoff. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach with data collection techniques for literature studies and field studies, the data sources used are primary and secondary. Results: The findings of this study show that the success of a policy is judged based on its political commitment. In policies related to stunting in Bone District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, it is already good, but in its implementation, there are still several obstacles, including in the dimensions of law enforcement and business sustainability. Conclusion: Prevention and reduction of stunting in Bone sub-district has carried out various ways so that stunting can be reduced every year.
