Abstract
ABSTRACT Problems: Lack of socialization of the independent learning curriculum in Yalimo district so that the quality of education and quality of human resources is still low. Purpose: this research is to identify and analyze the socialization carried out in implementing the independent learning curriculum in Yalimo Regency and the impact of the lack of socialization. Method: the method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with an inductive approach. The data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation. There were 12 informants in this study. The theory used in this study was the Socialization theory. According to Karsidi (2008), there are four dimensions, namely socialization goals, types of socialization, socialization processes and socialization barriers. This research is based on a problem or phenomenon that occurs in 2 Yalimo district, namely the lack of human quality and competency levels in several schools in Yalimo district. Findings: the socialization of the independent learning program is needed to facilitate the implementation of learning based on independent learning, to empower students with quality, and students with character. Conclusion: from the results of this study it was found that there were several efforts made by the government to prepare education based on the independent learning program, namely forming a teacher mobilization program, increasing equipment, and providing a library of infrastructure facilities, and a teacher mobilization program.
