Abstract

Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author focuses on the problem of the abuse of glue containing addictive substances by teenagers in South Barito Regency. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify the supervision carried out by the South Barito Regency Civil Service Police Unit in preventing the abuse of glue containing addictive substances, to find out the inhibiting factors, and the efforts of the South Barito Regency Civil Service Police Unit in preventing the abuse of glue containing addictive substances in South Barito Regency. Method: The research method used is descriptive qualitative research and with data collection techniques using interviews, observation, and documentation. Result: the results of this study indicate that violations by teenagers of glue abuse containing addictive substances are still widely found in South Barito Regency, especially in South Hamlet District which is one of the sub-districts in South Barito Regency. supervision carried out by the South Barito Regency Pamong Praja Police Unit has gone well but there are still obstacles such as the lack of human resources in the South Barito Regency Pamong Praja Police Unit which is the biggest obstacle for the South Barito Regency Pamong Praja Police Unit. Conclusion: Supervision of the South Barito Regency Pamong Praja Police Unit in preventing the abuse of glue containing addictive substances has been carried out quite well, this can be seen from several indicators that can be fulfilled including in the aspect of setting standards for the South Barito Regency Pamong Praja Police Unit has set standards for supervision appropriately. Supervision carried out by the Barito Selatam Regency Pamong Praja Police Unit is in the form of Socialization, Patrols, and Yustisi Operations.
