Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author focuses on strengthening democratic values in the management of village funds in the field of implementing village development in Batumerah Village/country, Sirimau District, Ambon City, Maluku Province. Purpose: ". This research is intended to find out how the village fund management system is in Batumerah Village/State, Sirimau District, Ambon City, Maluku Province and the inhibiting and supporting factors in managing village funds and what supports it in the field of community development. Method: This study uses a descriptive qualitative method and analyzes democratic values according to Suacana Theory. Data collection techniques were carried out by observing during the research, in-depth interviews (11 informants), and documentation. Results/Findings: The findings obtained by the authors in this study are Strengthening Democratic Values in the Management of Village Funds in the Field of Implementation of Village Development in Batumerah Village, Sirimau District, Ambon City, Maluku Province, which is not optimal, the inhibiting factors are human resources, age, and covid-19 . Conclusion: The application of democratic values according to Suacana Theory in managing village funds in the field of implementing village development can work well because of respect for individual rights, political ethics, cooperation, rotation of power, equality, tolerance, transparency and accountability and participation the community has a positive impact on managing village funds in the field of implementing village development..
