Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): This research is based on the problem of women's representation in elections and the causes of women's representation in making DPRDs not reach 30 percent. Purpose: this study was to analyze women's representation in DPRD elections and find out what causes women's representation in the Tidore City DPRD to not reach a quota of 30 percent. Method: This research method is qualitative with an inductive approach, data collection techniques using interviews and rental. Result: The results of this study indicate that firstly, the number of women's representation in the election of candidates for DPRD members has reached 30 percent, secondly, the representation of women in the distribution of DPRDs in the City of Tidore Islands, North Maluku Province for the 2019-2024 period did not reach a quota of 30 percent, which is due, among other things, to the absence of a mechanism that regulate the verification and testing of DPRD member candidates at the political party level, the pattern of recruitment of DPRD member candidates through women's organizations is not yet effective, there is still a lack of mass media that provides information about women's political issues, the low interest and seriousness of women to become DPRD members because most women are more focused on taking care of his household as well as the high political costs and the existence of a patriarchal political culture, a culture of identity and closeness politics and a culture of money politics. Conclusion : The suggestions commented on from this study are the need for regulations regarding the obligations of DPRD member candidates to carry out public verification and testing as proof of self-quality before nomination, especially at the political party level, the need for ongoing outreach to the public to choose their representatives according to their conscience without being influenced by political monay and the need to increase the frequency of mass media to present information about women's political issues. Keywords: Representation, Women's, DPRD Elections 2 ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Penelitian ini didasarkan pada masalah keterwakilan perempuan dalam pemilihan serta penyebab keterwakilan perempuan dalam keanggotaan DPRD tidak mencapai 30 persen. Tujuan: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keterwakilan perempuan dalam pemilihan DPRD serta mengetahui apa saja penyebab keterwakilan perempuan dalam keanggotaan DPRD kota Tidore kepulauan tidak mencapai kuota 30 persen. Metode: Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan induktif, teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa yang pertama, jumlah keterwakilan perempuan dalam pemilihan calon anggota DPRD sudah mencapai 30 persen, kedua keterwakilan perempuan dalam keanggotaan DPRD Kota tidore kepulauan provinsi maluku utara Periode 2019-2024 tidak mencapai kuota 30 persen yang disebabkan antaralain yaitu belum adanya mekanisme yang mengatur verifikasi dan uji publik calon DPRD pada tingkat partai politik, belum efektifnya pola rekrutmen calon anggota DPRD melalui organisasi perempuan, masih minimnya media massa yang menyajikan informasi mengenai masalah politik perempuan, rendahnya minat dan keseriusan perempuan untuk menjadi anggota DPRD dikarenakan kebanyakan perempuan lebih fokus untuk mengurus rumah tangganya serta besarnya biaya politik dan masih adanya budaya politik patriarki, budaya politik identitas dan kedekatan serta budaya money politics. Kesimpulan: Saran yang di ajukan dari penelitian ini adalah Perlu adanya regulasi terkait kewajiban para calon anggota DPRD untuk melaksanakan verifikasi dan uji publik sebagai bukti kualitas diri sebelum pencalonan terutama pada level partai politik, Perlunya sosialisasi secara continiu kepada masyarakat untuk memilih perwakilannya sesuai hati nurani tanpa terpengaruh monay politics dan Perlunya peningkatan frekuensi media massa untuk menyajikan informasi tentang permaslahan politik perempuan.Kata Kunci : Keterwakilan Perempuan, 30 Persen, Pemilihan DPRD.
