Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The author's focus is on the problems related to the quality of information available on websites in the local government of Jayapura Regency. The website plays a crucial role in supporting the success of E-Government initiatives. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to assess the quality of website information in Jayapura Regency and identify the factors that influence the quality of information presented on these websites. Method: The study employs a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing Carlo Batini's Theory of information quality. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. Result: The findings reveal that the dimensions of information quality are not fully met on the two websites studied. On the Jayapura Regency Government Website, there are deficiencies in the accuracy dimension, specifically in the currency and timeliness indicators. Additionally, the completeness and accessibility dimensions are not fulfilled. Regarding the Office of Communication and Informatics website, it does not meet the standards primarily due to the timeliness indicator in the accuracy dimension. Inhibiting factors affecting the quality of information on the Jayapura Regency Government website include the lack of expert staff, inadequate budget, insufficient coordination among regional apparatuses, and limited public awareness of the existence of the Jayapura Regency Government website.Conclusion: The quality of website information on the examined websites is considered satisfactory, but there is room for improvement. Collaborative efforts among regional apparatuses, training programs related to website management, and content evaluation are suggested as measures to enhance the quality of information provided on the websites. Keywords: Website; information quality; Jayapura Regency ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Penulis berfokus pada permasalahan terkait kualitas informasi yang ada pada website di lingkungan pemerintah daerah Kabupaten Jayapura dimana website sendiri dapat menjadi salah satu pendukung keberhasilan E Government. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kualitas Informasi website yang ada pada Kabupaten Jayapura dan faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi kualitas informasi yang disajikan dalam website tersebut. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan menggunakan teori kualitas informasi menurut Teori Carlo Batini. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara,observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Pada 2 website yang diteliti ditemukan dimensi kualitas informasi yang tidak memenuhi dimana pada Website Pemerintah Kabupaten Jayapura, masih terdapat kekurangan pada dimensi accuracy dimana indikator yang tidak terpenuhi adalah currency dan timeliness. Selanjutnya pada dimensi completeness dan dimensi Accessibility juga belum memenuhi. Untuk website Dinas Komunikasi dan Informatika yang belum memenuhi standar adalah indikator timeliness pada dimensi accuracy. Adapun faktor penghambat yang mempengaruhi kualitas informasi website Pemerintah Kabupaten Jayapura adalah kurangnya staff ahli, anggaran tidak memadai, kurangnya koordinasi antar perangkat daerah, dan kurangnya pengetahuam masyarakat akan keberadaan website Pemerintah Kabupaten Jayapura. Kesimpulan: Kualitas Informasi website pada website yang diteliti sudah baik meski masih ada yang harus diperbaiki. Kerjasama antar perangkat daerah, pelatihan terkait dengan pengelolaan website serta evaluasi konten di dalam website menjadi hal yang disarankan untuk meningkatkan kualitas informasi lebih baik lagi dari sebelumnya.
