Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP):The position of the capital city of a country is very important and DKI Jakarta is considered unable to bear the burden of being the capital city of the country by taking into account political and non-political factors such as social, economic and geographical. In the implementation of the relocation of the capital city, youth groups are considered very important. This study aims to describe the perceptions of youth over the relocation of the capital city and to determine the level of trust of youth to find out the support that can be done towards the implementation of the relocation of the capital itself. The method used by the author is a mixed method that answers the formulation of the problem using quantitative and qualitative. This study took 92 quantitative respondents and 4 qualitative informants. This study found that youth have their own cluster of beliefs towards the relocation of the capital city with the belief that equality in all aspects can be achieved through this policy with the consequence that the time to relocate the capital city is not short. The contribution that youth can make is by educating themselves and the environment and guarding this policy. In the future, it is hoped that further research will be carried out on the national capital so that it can be a form of participation in this policy. Keywords: moving the national capital; youth; political trust ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Posisi ibu kota negara yang sangat penting dari suatu negara dan DKI Jakarta dianggap sudah tidak mampu menanggung beban sebagai ibu kota negara dengan memperhatikan faktor politik dan non-politik seperti sosial, ekonomi dan geografis. Dalam implementasi pemindahan ibu kota ini kelompok pemuda dinilai sangat penting. Penelitian ini Bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi pemuda atas pemindahan ibu kota serta mengetahui tingkat kepercayaan pemuda untuk mengetahui dukungan yang dapat dilakukan terhadap implementasi pemindahan ibu kota itu sendiri. Metode yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah mixed method yang menjawab rumusan masalah menggunakan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Penelitian ini mengambil 92 responden kuantitatif dan 5 informan kualitatif. Kajian ini mendapati bahwa pemuda memiliki cluster kepercayaan tersendiri terhadap pemindahan ibu kota dengan keyakinan bahwa kemerataan dalam segala aspek dapat tercapai melalui kebijakan ini dengan konsekuensi waktu pemindahan ibu kota yang tidak sebentar. Kontribusi yang bisa diberikan pemuda adalah dengan mengedukasi diri dan lingkungan serta mengawal kebijakan ini. Kedepannya diharapkan akan dilaksanakan penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai ibu kota negara agar dapat menjadi bentuk partisipasi terhadap kebijakan ini.
