Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem/Background (GAP): Political education for first-time voters by the KPU in the steps for the 2024 presidential election in Boven Digoel Regency, South Papua Province, Simultaneous elections in 2024 which will be held in 2024 in Boven Digoel Regency, the lack of participation from first-time voters makes the district KPU Boven Digoel is preparing socialization and registration for political education for first-time voters who will exercise their right to vote in the 2024 elections. Purpose: Based on these problems, this research aims to disseminate information on the implementation of first-time voter education in Boven Digoel Regency. Method: Theory Theory of George Hebert Mead used The method used in this research is qualitative. Data collection techniques used in this research are interviews and documentation studies. Results: The findings obtained by the authors in this study are that the participation of first-time voters in planning is quite sufficient, the implementation is quite good, and the utilization of the results is quite good, although it is still constrained by the low level of awareness of some first-time voters. Conclusion: The results of this study are the lack of first-time voter votes in recent years has prompted the general election commission to develop a voter political education strategy for the upcoming 2024 presidential election in Boven district. Keywords: Political Education, Beginner Voters, Participation ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Pendidikan politik bagi pemilih pemula oleh kpu dalam langkah pemilihan presiden 2024 di kabupaten boven digoel provinsi papua selata pemilu serentak tahun 2024 yang akan dilaksanakan mendatang pada tahun 2024 di Kabupaten Boven Digoel kurangnya partisipasi dari pemilih pemula membuat KPU kabupaten Boven Digoel mempersiapkan sosialisasi dan pendaftaran bagi pendidikan politik pemilih pemula yang akan menggunakan hak pilihnya sendiri pada pemilu 2024. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut penelitian ini Tujuan: bertujuan untuk melakukan sosialisasi terhadap penyelenggaraan pendidikan pemilih pemula di Kabupaten Boven Digoel. Metode: Teori Teori George Hebert Mead yang dipakai Metode yang digunakan dalam penilitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu wawancara dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Temuan yang diperoleh penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu partisipasi pemilih pemula dalam perencanaan tergolong cukup, pada pelaksanaan tergolong baik, dan pemanfaatan hasil tergolong baik, meskipun masih terkendala tingkat kesadaran beberapa pemilih pemula yang masih rendah. Kesimpulan: Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah Kurangnya suara pemilih pemula dari tahun belakangan membuat komisi pemilihan umum membuat strategi pendidikan politik pemilih pada pemilu presiden 2024 yang akan datang di kabupaten Boven.
