Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): The condition of Bauntung Market is getting worse and worse, starting from the lack of facilities, dirty and narrow places. Banjarbaru City Government relocated Bauntung Market to make it more organized, clean, comfortable and tidy. But in fact, there are still many conflicts that occur in the relocation of the Bantung market, one of which is traders who refuse to be relocated. Purpose: This study aims to determine and analyze conflict resolution in the relocation of Pasar Bauntung Baru traders as well as identify inhibiting factors and efforts made in overcoming obstacles. Methods: This research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach and uses Johan Galtung's conflict resolution theory with three dimensions as his analysis knife. Result: The results obtained from this study are that the approach of peace building, peace keeping, and peace making is an effective strategy in conflict resolution of the relocation of Pasar Bauntung traders. The peace building approach is carried out by improving the facilities and infrastructure of the New Bauntung market and knowing the factors that cause conflict. The peace keeping approach is carried out by making policies that are able to bring order and carry out deliberation. Meanwhile, the peacemaking approach is carried out through making good family relationships and seeing the results and achievements of the Bauntung market relocation implementation. Inhibiting factors are the presence of informal traders and low awareness of the public and traders. Efforts to overcome this obstacle are by conducting public consultations and handling incoming complaints wisely Conclusion: The approach of peace building, peace keeping, and peace making is an effective strategy in conflict resolution of the relocation of Pasar Bauntung traders.
