Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem/Background (GAP): This final report is entitled The Role of the Village Government in Handling Stunting in Kontumere Village, Kabawo District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to find out how stunting was handled by the Kontumere Village Government, Kabawo District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province, the supporting and inhibiting factors for handling stunting.In this study using a descriptive qualitative method with an inductive approach. Method: Data collection methods used in this final report are observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this s tudy are data reduction, presenting data, and drawing conclusions.Result/Findings: Based on the results of the study, the handling of stunting in Kontumere Village, Kabawo District, Muna Regency, Southeast Sulawesi Province was not optimal. This can be seen from the stunting management program in Kontumere Village which has not been fully implemented. Conclusion: It can be seen that there are still inhibiting factors that influence this, including local beliefs and customs which are still held firmly so that they affect the nutritional intake of pregnant women and children, the large number of pregnant women who are at a young age with a lowlevel of education, and a lack of concern for the environment so that environmental cleanliness is disturbed. The advice given from the results of this study, namely the need for wider socialization and communication regarding the handling of stunting to the whole community, as well as increasing cooperation between the government, both posyandu cadres, human development cadres and midwives in the village so that the stunting management program is implemented effectively optimal. Keywords: The Role of the Village Government, Handling Stunting ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP):Penanganan Stunting di Desa Kontumere Kecamatan Kabawo Kabupaten Muna Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana penanganan stunting oleh Pemerintah Desa Kontumere Kecamatan Kabawo Kabupaten Muna Provinsi SulawesiTenggara, faktor pendukung dan penghambat penanganan stunting tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif. Metode: Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam laporan akhir ini adalah dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah mereduksi data, menyajikan data, dan melakukan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil/Temuan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa penanganan stunting di Desa Kontumere Kecamatan Kabawo Kabupaten Muna Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara belum optimal.Kesimpulan: Hal tersebut terlihat dari program penanganan stunting yang ada di Desa Kontumere yang belum sepenuhnya berjalan, dilihat masih adanya faktor penghambat yang mempengaruhi hal tersebut antara lain kepercayaan dan adat setempat yang masih dipegang teguh sehingga mempengaruhi asupan gizi ibu hamil dan anak, banyaknya ibu hamil yang berada pada usia muda dengan tingkat pendidikan rendah, dan kurangnya kepedulian terhadap lingkungab sehingga kebersihan lingkungan terganggu. Saran yang diberikan dari hasil penelitian ini, yaitu perlu adanya sosialisasi dan komunikasi yang lebih luas terkait penanganan stunting kepada seluruh masyarakat, serta meningkatkan kerjasama antara pemerintah, baik itu kader posyandu, kader pembangunan manusia dan bidan yang ada didesa tersebut agar terlaksananya program penanganan stunting secara optimal.
