Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem: The Industrial Revolution 4.0 which is full of information technology makes it easier for us in various ways and especially in terms of carrying out the duties and responsibilities of each job. In practice, the government in Indonesia has also made extraordinary progress in the development of governance in Indonesia. As we all know, an ability to keep up with the times is an added value for every work agency in the current digitalization era. One proof that civil servants must be able to keep up with the times is by measuring digital competence, which is a transition process from working manually then switching to work carried out based on a work system that has been designed in such a way as to facilitate human work. Purpose: to find out digital competence and performance of government administration employees in the Tanimbar Islands district government for the sake of SPBE (Electronic Based Government System) in Indonesia. Methods: This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. This research analysis uses the theory of the Join Research Center on Digital Competence. Results: The results obtained from this study are that digital technology is very helpful for employee performance, especially through digital competencies that employees already have to assist in administering government in the Tanimbar Islands district, especially at the Office of the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD). Conclusion: Not all BPKAD employees able and have digital competence because there are still many deficiencies in several dimensions of the theory that the author uses to complete the author's current writing Keywords: Digital Competence , Digital Technology ,Employee Performance
