Abstract

Abstract Kendari City Environment and Forestry Office Strategy in Waste Management By: Revian Denni Advisor: Teresa Irmina Nangameka, S.STP, M.Tr.IP The issue of waste problems is the main concern of the Kendari City Government. The high waste production in Kendari city is around 270 tonnes per day causing problems such as the Puuwatu TPA starting to fill up. The Kendari City Environment and Forestry Service as the person in charge of handling cleanliness and the environment has made efforts to deal with this problem, but is considered to be ineffective in solving waste management problems in Kendari City. For this reason, this thesis uses qualitative research with descriptive methods and an inductive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation in order to find out the Strategy of the Kendari City Environment and Forestry Service in waste management. The results obtained are a strategy that can be used, namely that in a comprehensive manner, based on the research carried out, it shows that the waste management carried out by the Environment and Forestry Service Office of Keindari city has been quite good by implementing various policies as well as programs that have been implemented directly by the Keindari city government, but there are still there are several things that need to be fixed. To overcome this, strategies that can be used are applying information and technology (IT) in improving waste management, utilizing collaboration with other organizations and other parties, maximizing government support to increase public awareness in waste management, managing technology-based waste banks, improving waste management that has not yet been implemented. effective and efficient. Abstrak Strategi Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan kota Kendari dalam pengelolaan sampah Oleh: Revian Denni Dosen Pembimbing: Teresa Irmina Nangameka, S.STP, M.Tr.IP Isu permasalahan sampah menjadi perhatian utama Pemerintah Kota Kendari. Tingginya produksi sampah di kota Kendari pada kisaran 270 ton perharinya memunculkan masalah seperti mulai penuhnya TPA Puuwatu. Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Kota Kendari sebagai sebagai penanggung jawab penanganan kebersihan dan lingkungan telah melakukan upaya menangani permasalahan ini, akan tetapi dinilai belum efektif untuk menyelesaikan masalah pengelolaan sampah di Kota Kendari. Untuk itu penulisan skripsi ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif serta pendekatan induktif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi guna mengetahui Strategi Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Kota Kendari dalam pengelolaan sampah. Hasil yang diperoleh yakni strategi yang dapat digunakan yaitu seicara keiseiluiruihan beirdasarkan peineilitian yang dilakuikan meinuinjuikan bahwa peingeilolaan sampah yang dilakuikan oleih Dinas Lingkuingan Hiduip dan Keihuitanan kota Keindari suidah cuikuip baik deingan meineirapkan beirbagai keibijakan seirta program yang di duikuing langsuing oleih peimeirintah kota Keindari, namuin masih ada beibeirapa hal yang peirlui dipeirbaiki. Untuk mengatasi itu strategi yang dapat digunakan yaitu menerapkan informasi dan teknologi (IT) dalam peningkatan pengelolaan sampah, pemanfaatan kerjasama dengan organisasi lain maupun pihak lain, memaksimalkan dukungan pemerintah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah, mengelola Bank Sampah berbasis teknologi, memperbaiki pengelolaan sampah yang belum efektif dan efisien.
