Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Indonesia is a country that has a strategic location, making it easy to pass and become a stopover and world trade. This is what triggers the Indonesian state to become one of the places to accept foreign refugees. One area experiencing this problem is Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The relevant government agency that handles refugees is the National Unity and Politics Agency. With this problem the researcher is interested in discussing it and making it the title "BAKESBANGPOL FACILITATION IN HANDLING FOREIGN REFUGEES IN PEKANBARU CITY, RIAU PROVINCE". Purpose: This study aims to analyze and obtain data on the facilitation provided by the Pekanbaru City Bakesbangpol in handling foreign refugees. Problems and efforts to overcome obstacles. Methods: This research uses descriptive qualitative method. Result: The results of this study are that the facilitation provided by the Pekanbaru City Bakesbangpol in dealing with refugees from abroad as a whole is good but not optimal due to limited facilitation, so there are still obstacles or difficulties in its implementation. The facilitation provided is in the form of determining accommodation, as the leading sector Task Force (PPL), and as a coordinator between the central government and local governments and related agencies. The obstacles are in the form of limited accommodation, lack of adequate manpower and lack of authority owned by the Pekanbaru City Bakesbangpol. Conclusion:The conclusion is that the government has made various efforts to overcome this but there are still obstacles that need to be overcome. So the researchers suggest that the Pekanbaru City Bakesbangpol can improve and optimize the facilitation provided to foreign refugees. Keywords: Facilitation, Refugees, Bakesbangpol
