Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Community Empowerment is an important part of economic development because each region has different welfare. Community empowerment carried out by the government certainly has several obstacles that occur, especially for the elderly, especially the servants in the Punakawan Tepas Palace of Yogyakarta. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out what are the empowerment of the elderly in the Yogyakarta Palace, the inhibiting factors for empowering the elderly in the Yogyakarta Palace and the efforts that need to be made by the Yogyakarta Palace to overcome these problems. Method: he research method used is a descriptive qualitative research method with an inductive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observation and documentation. Result: Empowering the elderly in the Kawedanan Widya Budaya Keraton Yogyakarta is still faced with several obstacles when teaching knowledge to courtiers, especially the age of courtiers entering old age. Apart from that, many courtiers still haven't found a purpose and a change in attitude has been made to serve the Yogyakarta Palace. Even though there were several problems, there were advantages, including the expertise and motivation of the courtiers. Conclusion: Empowerment of elderly people carried out by the Yogyakarta Palace is still not running optimally. This is caused by the factor of the age of the courtiers who have entered old age, the factor of the goal to serve has not yet been found which is actually a way to find peace of mind. Keywords: Empowerment of elderly people, Yogyakarta Palace ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Pemberdayaan Masyarakat merupakan bagian penting dalam pembangunan ekonomi dikarenakan setiap daerah memiliki kesejahteraanyang berbeda-beda. Pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilaksanakan pemerintah pasti memiliki beberapa kendala yang terjadi terutama pada para lansia yang khsusnya pada abdi dalem punakawan tepas Keraton Yogyakarta. Tujuan: Tujuan peneltian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apa saja pemberdayaan masyarakat lansia di Keraton Yogyakarta, faktor penghambat pemberdayaan lansia di Keraton Yogyakarta dan upaya yang perlu dilakukan Keraton Yogyakarta untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Metode: Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualiatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan induktif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Pemberdayaan lansia di Kawedanan Widyabudaya Keraton Yogyakarta masih dihadapkan dengan beberapa kendala saat mengajarkan ilmu pada abdi dalem yang utamanya usia paraabdi dalem sudah memasuki usia lanjut. Selain itu, para abdi dalem banyakyang 2 masih belum menemukan tujuan dan perubahan sikap yang dilakukanuntuk mengabdi kepada Keraton Yogyakarta. Walaupun terdapat beberapamasalah namun ada keunggulan yang dimiliki diantaranya keahlian dan motivasi para abdi dalem. Kesimpulan: Pemberdayaan masyarakat lansia yang dilakukan oleh KeratonYogyakarta masih belum berjalan dengan maksimal. Hal tersebut disebabkan oleh faktor usia abdi dalem yang sudah memasuki lanjut usia, faktor tujuan untuk mengabdi masih belum ditemukan yang sebenarnya sebagai jalan mencari ketentraman hati.
