Abstract
Every hospital is required to be able to improve the quality of their performance in order to improve the quality of health services to the public. Therefore, effective and efficient planning and management of hospital resources is absolutely necessary, for this reason the presence of a supporting system that supports these service activities is certainly very necessary. Purpose: This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of Hospital Management Information System services at the Teuku Umar Regional General Hospital in Aceh Jaya. SIMRS is an application that has been implemented by the Hospital to record all daily and administrative transactions that occur in large capacity and are ongoing. SIMRS is not only an application, but also leads to a whole series of service activities in the integration and synergy of Hospital components for proper resource management. Method: This study uses a qualitative-descriptive method. Data collection was carried out by interviews and field observations. The informants in this study were eight people consisting of State Civil Servant (ASN) at the Teuku Umar Regional General Hospital, Aceh Jaya and hospital patients. Results/Findings:The results showed that the implementation of the Hospital Management Information System service program was considered quite effective because it proved by the indicators of program socialization, program target accuracy, program objectives, and program monitoring. The hospital seeks to maximize the operation of SIMRS and educate the public for excellent health services. Conclusion: The implementation of Hospital Management Information System services at the Teuku Umar Regional General Hospital has not been achieved optimally. Thus the researcher suggests that there is a need for a strategy from the RSUD Teuku Umar of Aceh Jaya Regency to recruit the potential staffs to develop a more good system and also a good attention from the Government of Aceh Jaya.
