Abstract

Problem Statement/ Background (GAP): This research examines the implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs in the education sector in Mimika Regency, Papua Province, against a background of poor-quality education and reviews the sustainability of programs that are the responsibility of the government. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to find out how the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programs in the education sector in Mimka Regency is seen from the supporting and inhibiting factors in overcoming implementation obstacles. Method: The research method used is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques used by the authors are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The focus in this study uses Edward III's theory and its dimensions namely Communication, Resources, Disposition and Bureaucratic Structure. Referring to the parties involved in implementing the implementation of the program (CSR) in the education sector in Mimika Regency, Papua Province, namely the Education Office and the Amungme and Kamoro Community Empowerment Foundation (YPMAK). Results: The results of this study the authors found that program implementation (CSR) in the education sector in Mimika Regency was still not optimal due to several obstacles. The dimensions of Communication and Resources, Disposition and Bureaucratic Structure have been running efficiently but from the indicators of clarity, incentives, and facilities due to the attitude of implementers in making decisions and access to accommodation and operational costs which are lacking and not quite different from when in the field. However, the implementing party has made a major contribution to the implementation of education in Mimika Regency. Several stages may have been carried out in accordance with Edward III Theory in which there are Communication, Resources, Dispositions and Bureaucratic Structures. Conclusion: The author's suggestion is First, the Mimika and Ypmak Regency governments should pay more attention specifically to the level of education in Mimika because this can support human resources. Second, related to communication, it is expected that coordination between implementers can run according to the existing hierarchical levels, and third, namely that the budgeting by the Education Office and Ypmak must cooperate more in solving existing problems so that existing problems can be resolved properly.
