Abstract
Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Cash Social Assistance (BST) is a government program policy to encourage socio-economic progress and prosper the Indonesian people, including Karyabaru Village, Alang-Alang Lebar District, Palembang City, South Sumatra. Purpose: This study aims to find out how the policy implementation of the Cash Social Assistance (BST) program in improving people's welfare in the Karyabaru Village, the inhibiting factors for the Implementation of the Social Assistance Program (BST) Policy in Improving Community Welfare, and efforts to overcome the inhibiting factors for the implementation of Social Assistance program policies Cash (BST) in improving people's welfare. Method: Qualitative analysis methods are used for studies that use text data, perceptions, and other written materials to find out things that are not measurable with certainty. Result/Findings: The results of the study show that the implementation of the cash social assistance program (BST) policy in general has been going well but not fully optimal in accordance with the established policies. Conclusion: The inhibiting factors for the implementation of the Social Cash Assistance (BST) program policy in improving people's welfare in the Karyabaru Village are: data updating is not carried out so that recipient data is not accurate with what is in the field, implementing regulations that have not been implemented in accordance with established provisions, evaluations not routinely carried out. Efforts are being made, namely updating and updating information on BST recipient data and reporting to the information and data center, the active role of relevant actors and the community in providing and seeking regarding terms and procedures to be able to receive cash social assistance programs, evaluations that must be carried out routinely.
