Abstract
ABSTRAK Gempa bumi adalah getaran atau guncangan yang terjadi di permukaan bumi akibat pelepasan energi dari bawah permukaan secara tiba-tiba yang menciptakan gelombang seismik. Badan Penanggulangan Bencana Daerah (BPBD) bertanggung jawab dalam penanggulangan bercana tersebut yang memiliki tugas pokok dan fungsi dalam penanggulangan terhadap segala jenis potensi bencana, Untuk Kabupaten Majene sering mengalami gempa bumi tidak menutup kemungkinan di masa yang akan datang akan terulang kembali, maka penting bagi penduduk Kabupaten Majene untuk mewaspadai potensi Bahaya bencana yang sering terjadi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kesiapsiagaan badan penanggulangan bencana daerah terhadap bencana gempa buni di Kabupaten Majene Sulawesi Barat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Penelitian kualitatif memiliki berbagai jenis dalam pendekatan, seperti pendekatan deskriptif, verifikasi, dan historis. Dari berbagai jenis pendekatan tersebut, penelitian kualitatif deskriptif bertujuan untuk memberi gambaran suatu permasalahan yang ada. Kesimpulan dari penelitian menunjukkan beberapa hambatan dalam proses penelitian yaitu kurangnya sarana prasarana, terbatasnya anggaran, dan perlu ditingkatkan lagi untuk kesiapsiagaannya dalam menangani bencana gempa bumi maka akan semakin siap dalam bertindak cepat, tepat serta efektif dan efisien. Upaya yang dilakukan BPBD dalam mengatasi permasalahan dan hambatan yang ada seperti melaksanakan program pelatihan simulasi kebencanaan dan Desa tanggu Bencana, serta Tim Reaksi Cepat, untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan masyarakat terhadap bencana gempa bumi di Kabupaten Majene. ABSTRACT Earthquakes are vibrations or shocks that occur on the surface of the earth due to the sudden release of energy from beneath the surface which creates seismic waves. The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) responsible for disaster management has the main task and function of responding to all types of potential disasters. For Majene Regency to experience frequent earthquakes it does not rule out the possibility that they will recur in the future, so it is important for residents of Majene Regency to be aware of potential disaster hazards. which often happens. The purpose of this study was to determine the preparedness of regional disaster management agencies for earthquake disasters in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi. This research method uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Qualitative research has various types of approaches, such as descriptive, verification, and historical approaches. Of the various types of approaches, descriptive qualitative research aims to provide an overview of an existing problem. The conclusions from the study indicate several obstacles in the research process, namely the lack of infrastructure, limited budgets, and the need to increase preparedness in dealing with earthquake disasters so that they will be more prepared to act quickly, precisely and effectively and efficiently. Efforts made by BPBD in overcoming existing problems and obstacles such as carrying out disaster simulation training programs and Disaster Management Villages, as well as the Rapid Reaction Team, to increase community preparedness for earthquake disasters in Majene Regency.
