Abstract

ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): This thesis is entitled ‘‘The Role of Community Empowerment Institutions in Community Empowerment Activities in Pangkalan Kerinci Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province‘‘. Purpose: This research aims to find out the role of the Pangkalan Kerinci City Village Community Empowerment Institution in community empowerment activities, especially in the fields of education, youth, sports and the arts. In addition to knowing the supporting and inhibiting factors of the role of Village Community Empowerment Institutions in community development and empowerment activities. Method: Data collection techniques used by researchers in this thesis are interviews, observation and documentation. Informants in this study were the Lurah of Pangkalan Kerinci City, Secretary of the Pangkalan Kerinci City Lurah, Leader of the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Pangkalan Kerinci City, Secretary of the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Pangkalan Kerinci City, Treasurer of the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Pangkalan Kerinci City, Coordinator for Education, Youth, Sports and Arts of the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Pangkalan Kerinci City, and the Citizen of Pangkalan Kerinci City. Result: The role of the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Pangkalan Kerinci City has been going well. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the data that the author used to obtain information that the role of the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Pangkalan Kerinci City has been going well but, in the process, there are still obstacles due to the lack of technique in processing by the Village Community Empowerment Institution in Pangkalan Kerinci City and the low level of public awareness in the development and empowerment sector, especially in the fields of education, youth, sports and the arts Keywords: Village Community Empowerment Institution, Role, Development, Community Empowerment, Education, Youth, Sports and Arts ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): Skripsi ini berjudul “Peran Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kelurahan (LPMK) Dalam Kegiatan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat di Kelurhan Pangkalan Kerinci Kota Kecamatan Pangkalan Kerinci Kabupaten Pelalawan Provinsi Riau”. Tujuan: Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana peran Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kelurahan (LPMK) dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat khususnya bidang Pendidikan, pemuda, olahraga dan kesenian. Selain itu untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan penghambat peran Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kelurahan (LPMK) dalam kegiatan pembangunan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Metode: Adapun teori yang digunakan oleh penulis dalam penulisan skripsi ini adalah teori peran Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat oleh Firana yang menjelaskan bahwa Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat memiliki peran dalam 4 aspek yaitu: Hasil/Temuan: Fasilitator, Mediator, Motivator, dan Dinamisator. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah Lurah Pangkalan Kerinci Kota, Sekretaris Lurah Pangkalan Kerinci Kota, Ketua LPMK Pangkalan Kerinci Kota, Sekretaris LPMK Pangkalan Kerinci Kota, Bendahara LPMK Pangkalan Kerinci Kota, Koordinator Bidang Pendidikan, Pemuda, Olahraga dan Kesenian LPMK Pangkalan Kerinci Kota, dan Masyarakat Kelurahan Pangkalan Kerinci Kota. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa data yang penulis gunakan untuk memperoleh informasi bahwa peran dari Lembaga Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kelurahan (LPMK) Pangkalan Kerinci Kota sudah berjalan dengan baik namun dalam prosesnya masih ditemui kendala dikarenakan kurang maksimalnya teknik dalam berproses oleh LPMK Pangkalan Kerinci Kota serta rendahnya tingkat kesadaran masyarakat dalam sektor pembangunan dan pemberdayaan khususnya bidang pendidikan, pemuda, olahraga dan kesenian.
