Abstract

ABSTRACT Problems/Background (GAP): The author focuses on a series of activities that can identify a series of flood disaster optimization activities in the city of Bandar Lampung, Lampung Province. Objective: To find out the optimization, supporting and inhibiting factors as well as information dissemination efforts in preventing floods carried out by the government of Bandar Lampung City, Lampung Province. Methodology: This study uses qualitative methods and is analyzed by Optimization theory according to Hotniar Siringo Ringo (2005) Techniques for collecting data by Observation, Interview and Documentation by data analysis according to Miles and Hubberman (1992). Results/ Findings: The results of the study show that the City of Bandar Lampung has tried to optimize the dissemination of disaster information but in the process it has obstacles with people who are still indifferent to information, employees who are less competent and sometimes natural and non-natural obstacles often occur. Conclusion: Optimizing the dissemination of information in preventing floods in Bandar Lampung City carried out by the BPBD has been going well but it must continue to be developed in the future because many people must be concerned with the information provided to reduce the risk of flood disasters properly and there are several things that must be improved and repaired. Keywords: Flood Disaster, Optimization, Information Dissemination ABSTRAK Permasalahan/ Latar Belakang (GAP) : Penulis berfokus pada serangkaian kegiatan yang dapat mengetahui serangkaian kegiatan pengoptimalan bencana banjir di kota Bandar Lampung Provinsi Lampung. Tujuan : Untuk mengetahui optimalisasi, Faktor pendukung dan penghambat serta upaya penyebaran informasi dalam pencegahan bencana banjir yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah Kota Bandar Lampung Provinsi Lampung. Metodologi : Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan dianalisis dengan teori Optimalisasi menurut Hotniar Siringo Ringo (2005) Teknik mengumpulkan data dengan Observasi, Wawancara dan Dokumentasi dengan analisis data menurut Miles and Hubberman (1992). Hasil/ Temuan : Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Kota Bandar Lampung sudah berupaya untuk mengoptimalkan penyebaran informasi kebencanaan namun dalam prosesnya memiliki hambatan dengan masyarakat yang masih acuh akan informasi, pegawai yang kurang kompeten dan terkadang hambatan alam maupun non alam sering terjadi. Kesimpulan : Optimalisasi penyebaran informasi dalam pencegahan bencana banjir di Kota Bandar Lampung yang dilakukan oleh BPBD sudah berjalan dengan baik namun harus tetap dikembangkan kedepanya karena banyak masyarakat yang harus peduli dengan informasi yang diberikan untuk mengurangi resiko dari bencana banjir dengan baik dan ada beberapa hal yang harus ditingkatkan serta diperbaiki.
