Abstract
ABSTRACT Problems/Background (GAP): the author focuses on the problem of the narrowing of agricultural land which results in food security in Bantul Regency and the lack of protection of sustainable agricultural land. Purpose: The aim of this study is to determine the implementation of the policy of protecting agricultural land in Kenewon Sanden. Methods: This study uses qualitative research methods. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, interviews (6 informants), and documentation. Results/Findings: The findings obtained by the authors in this study are that the implementation of land protection is still not optimal, a lot of land is converted for non-agricultural use, food security continues to be threatened. Conclusion: The protection of agricultural land in Kapanewon Sanden is not optimal with indications that there is land being converted from agriculture to non-agriculture, increased economic and investment needs make land conversion increase, it is recommended to enforce local regulations and pay more attention to farmers. Keywords: Policy, Implementation, Land Function Transfer, Agricultural Land ABSTRAK Permasalahan/Latar Belakang (GAP): penulis berfokus pada permasalahan semakin sempitnya lahan pertanian yang berakibat pada ketahanan pangan di Kabupaten Bantul dan kurangnya perlindungan lahan pertanian berkelanjutan. Tujuan: Tujuan dari penelitian ini dalah untuk mengetahui implementasi kebijakan perlindungan lahan pertanian Kepanewon Sanden. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara (6 informan), dan dokumentasi. Hasil/Temuan: Temuan yang diperoleh penulis dalam penelitian ini yaitu implementasi perlindungan lahan masih belum optimal, banyak tanah yang dialihfungsikan untuk non-pertanian, ketahanan pangan terus terancam. Kesimpulan: Perlindungan lahan pertanian di Kapanewon Sanden belum optimal dengan indikasi terdapat tanah yang dialihfungsikan dari pertanian ke non-pertanian, kebutuhan ekonomi dan investasi yang naik menjadikan alihfungsi lahan meningkat, disarankan penegakan perda serta memberikan perhatian lebih kepada para petani.
