Abstract
Problem Statement/ Background (GAP): Disasters that often occur in South Kalimantan, especially the city of Banjarmasin, are floods. The Regional Disaster Management Agency is an institution in charge of dealing with disasters. In the implementation of flood disaster management, Regional Disaster Management Agency has inadequate facilities and infrastructure so that it hinders its implementation, so that the performance of the Banjarmasin City Regional Disaster Management Agency greatly influences flood disaster management efforts. Purpose : This study aims to determine the performance of the Regional Disaster Management Agency in flood disaster management in Banjarmasin City. Method : The research method used is descriptive qualitative research, where the author observed phenomena or problems that occur in the field. Then in collecting data, the author used data collection techniques namely observation, interviews and documentation. Result : The results showed that the performance of the Banjarmasin City Regional Disaster Management Agency was considered to be still not well implemented. This is evidenced that there is no division of tasks from each personnel, no education and training for the community, coordination has not been carried out evenly, lack of understanding from the Regional Disaster Management Agency personnel related to disaster management and inadequate infrastructure. Conclusion : The performance of the Banjarmasin City Regional Disaster Management Agency in flood disaster management is still said to be less well implemented due to several inhibiting factors. In dealing with existing obstacles, efforts have been made, among others, to conduct socialization, provide training to the Regional Disaster Management Agency personnel, carry out disaster mitigation and determine recovery activities. In improving the performance of the Regional Disaster Management Agency, it is recommended to increase the fulfillment of facilities and infrastructure, increase the budget and provide training and education to Regional Disaster Management Agency personnel.
