Abstract
ABSTRACT Problem Statement/Background (GAP): Karawo is one of the UMKM products, typical handicrafts of Gorontalo Province made by craftsmen in Gorontalo and has become a cultural heritage from generation to generation. Purpose of this research is to implement the MSME Upgrading program in partnership between Bank Indonesia and Karawo craftsmen in Gorontalo City. Knowing the inhibiting factors for the MSME program to advance in the partnership between Bank Indonesia and Karawo craftsmen. And the basic strategy of the Department of Cooperatives, MSMEs, Industry, and Trade of Gorontalo City to overcome the inhibiting factors for the MSME program to advance to class in the partnership of Bank Indonesia with Karawo Craftsmen in Gorontalo City. Method this study uses a descriptive qualitative method in which the author describes a situation, symptoms, and phenomena related to the development of karawo. The analysis technique used is data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. Data collection techniques used are interviews, documentation, and observation. Results/Findings The results of the research are that the process of developing MSMEs in partnership with Bank Indonesia is still uneven. This finding was obtained due to complaints from karawo craftsmen who are still not partners with Bank Indonesia and who have partnered but have not been promoted. research and analysis conducted by the author regarding the implementation of the MSMEs upgrading program in partnership between Bank Indonesia and Karawo craftsmen in Gorontalo City, Gorontalo Province, it can be concluded that it has been going well, but there are several obstacles that make not all Karawo makers get promoted.
